Denmark is an attractive market for innovative medical device companies.
Reimbursement (procedure coding and DRG system) has a limited role in market access for medical technologies, as DRG contributes to only small portion of total hospital revenue. Furthermore, global budget payment to hospitals also makes reimbursement challenge less relevant compared with other European countries. Highly specialized services are paid on the basis on real cost of the procedure (vary by region).

The introductory presentation also does not include details of reimbursement application processes (for example application form, requirements, details of the process for the creation of procedure code or DRG change).
