Market access for medical devices in Greece mainly includes coverage of services in the health benefit catalog (EKPY) and purchase by individual hospitals.
DRG system was established in 2011 (based on the foreign DRG system adopted to Greek settings), but merely changing. It is not possible to work with update of the procedural classification and DRG system in Greece, as it is static. At the moment, Greek authorities are working on implementation of the newest DRG system, based on the German DRG system.
